Refurbishment in Kent, Weald Hall

Weald Hall was an exciting new project with a team of care providers who wanted to created a home away from home vibe. All the while, maintain high standards of care.

Weald Hall, a beautifully located care home nestled within the market town of Epping in the county of Essex, offers long and short term residential, respite and convalescent care, with a special interest in helping people with all levels of dementia.

The home has recently seen a major rebuild and refurbishment and offers activities and a busy social calendar, as well as beautiful, mobility friendly gardens with outstanding views.

Conveniently located beside the North Weald Airfield, residents have a unique opportunity to embrace the daily comings and goings of aircraft, adding a touch of excitement to their everyday lives.

Freedom and privacy are important to us and so we ensure that residents can enjoy spending time in their bedrooms and they aren’t just a place to sleep. Rooms are bright and airy and vary in size, so we have something to suit everyone. Many of our rooms look out over our lovely courtyards and garden areas. This is why our Carer profiling bed range was selected with accompanying Florida wardrobes and bedside tables. We offer a range of wood finishes so beds and furniture can be matched up.

The spacious dining area was provided with our Overton chairs in dual fabrics. The curtains were chosen to match a dining experience to help with wayfinding and create awareness in residents that they are in a communal dining area.

Communal areas are key to companionship, friendship, and socialising. Whether residents’ loved ones join them for a drink in our coffee bar or conservatory, or enjoy a film in the new cinema room, there have ample space for everyone to enjoy.

Residents are encouraged to get out and about as much as possible, this is not always easy to achieve if someone has mobility issues or is living with dementia, this is why Weald Hall and Renray – together- strived to bring the outside environment to the residents.
