New Build Leeds

Torsion Care

For this project the specification was for “The best care, best life and best environment”.

This new build care home in Leeds delivers in spades. We were asked to provide a full range of interior and furniture solutions. The home focuses on person centred care, allowing residents to maintain their freedom.

Our desire is for residents to keep on doing the things they have always loved – and often the things they perhaps thought they could no longer enjoy.

As part of our West Yorkshire community, our residents can help themselves to drinks and snacks, help in the garden and other hobbies and exercise their usual routines which enable residents to make their lives theirs.

The facilities allow residents to enjoy other everyday routines that keep them independent, including having their weekly hair and nail appointment at the luxurious salon or catching up with friends in the Shipley Manor Cafe.

66-BED CARE HOME WITH FULL ENSUITE WET ROOM FACILITIES IN CENTRAL SHIPLEY, BRADFORD. THIS PICTURESQUE SITE IS PROMINENT, ALONGSIDE THE RIVER AIRE AND THE LEEDS AND LIVERPOOL CANAL, NORTH OF BRADFORD AND ONLY 12 MILES FROM LEEDS.

The site is situated within Shipley town centre, with a corner outlook overlooking the canal walk. This historic waterway, once vital to the manufacturing industries of the north, is now a well kept and frequently used tourist attraction for walkers, cyclists, canoeists and boat cruises. It’s within 0.5m walk of ‘Salts Mill’, a World Heritage site, which includes an art gallery, shopping centre and restaurant complex.

Designing a scheme for a busy dementia unit has its challenges. Style and comfort are needed to work hand in hand with practicality and the most durable products. Renray Healthcare provided a range of upholstered, occasional and dining furniture for the entrance hall, lounge, dining room, bar and music room. As well as a full matching Augusta bedroom furniture range with compact Teramo seating to save space but not letting go of comfort.

In the communal areas, Chelford dining chairs were paired with the round dining tables to offer a mix of seating options. To maximise space in the residents lounge, music room and entrance hall, the Kingsley wingback chair was selected with its neat and stylish design.

The Forli sofa was chosen to create a relaxed seating area in the bar and new life was injected into the dining room with the Lucca dining chairs finished in Vintage oak alongside the practical and durable dining tables.
