The Aurora Seating System is designed to bring maximum flexibility of pressure area care to residents in the care home environment and is specifically sized to fit most arm chairs. The Aurora Seating System comes with its own pump or the Cushion can be supplied on its own and fitted to the Dormir Mattress Replacement System or the Apollo and Juno Overlay Mattress Pumps providing cost effective 24 hour pressure area care protection.
Best Possible Pressure Area Care
The smaller TPU cells of the Aurora seating System are softer and more durable than traditional PVC cells and provide improved support and greater seated stability for the user. The “1 in 2” alternating cell pattern provides an effective therapy for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, while Micro-Ventilated cells provide Micro Low Air Loss (MLAL) assisting the removal of heat and moisture which can cause skin breakdown. The two-way stretch material Top Cover ensures that pressure peaks due to “hammocking” are eliminated. The ability to link the Aurora cushion to other Squirrel mattress systems ensures cost effective 24 hour pretention.
Comfort
The ultra-low profile and narrow cells of the Aurora Cushion provide enhanced comfort and improved stability over systems with fewer, larger, cells. The pump unit has a choice of 8 pressure settings to ensure the comfort and protection of all users.
Whisper quiet pump
The Squirrel whisper quiet pump reduces noise significantly and is effectively silent in use. The pump has a smooth easy to clean case and control panel, with easy to understand controls for therapy modes, 8 stage comfort setting, visible and audio alarms for low pressure and power failure.
Infection Control
The Aurora seat cushion has a protected zipped top cover for easy inspection. The inner surface is a power white colour so any leakage or strike through is clearly visible making auditing simple and improves infection control. Manufactured from soft, two-way stretch, PU material top cover with a tough water-proof, non-slip base that encloses and protects the cells and tube set, the Aurora cushion is simple and easy to clean.
Maintenance
The Aurora seat cushion is simple and easy to maintain, with a zip-off removable top cover, individual, replaceable cells and easy change external tube set on site maintenance is simple and cost effective.
