The Carer Floor Bed is designed to allow users and carers to position the bed very near the floor, reducing the risk of injury for falls-prone residents. In every other way the bed is a fully functioning profiling bed but specifically designed without safety sides to reduce the risk and confusion for falls-prone residents. Reducing the risk reduces the associated distress, pain, injury, loss of confidence, loss of independence and mortality that a fall can bring.
The bed separates into 4 sections for easy transportation, assembly and installation by a single person. With an enhanced profiling system which offers improved patient positioning with reduced shear and friction.
Safety at floor height – Residents that are prone to falling can be positioned in bed close to the floor to reduce the risk of injuries from rolling out of bed or exiting the bed when confused.
Falls prevention – The prevention and management of falls is an important issue in maintaining the quality of life and independence of residents and is part of a person-centred care approach. The Carer Floor bed can be used in conjunction with other techniques to support users.
Enhanced safety – the patented side rail locking system allows senior staff to lock the side rails in the lowest position, preventing inappropriate use while keeping them always available.
Enhanced profiling – The enhanced patient positioning and the optimised mattress platform reduce shear and friction when the bed is being adjusted, by correctly supporting the user throughout the profiling range and increasing comfort.

Here you can see our full range of wood options. However, some products are only available in certain finishes. Please take a look at the top of the page to see what finishes the product is available in.
All our furniture comes in a fine array of wood finishes to suit any room or care environment. It is these final flourishes that really set us apart and make your residents feel at home. Not many furniture manufacturers offer matching finishes from beds to lounge furniture, which means you can use a coherent design throughout your project.
We only source our wood materials from trusted, reliable and environmentally conscious suppliers. Wood-based panel production is a great way to introduce and maintain the principles of the circular economy. That means we can bring back into production a material that has already been used. We create technological and business environment that allows us to introduce the recycled wood in a wider product portfolio.
If you see a wood finish that your desired product isn’t available in then reach out and for minimum orders we might be able to help.
