Wyggestons

Wyggestons focuses on providing top quality affordable rented housing accommodation, support and care services for the over 60s. Originally formed as an Almshouse Charity in 1513, Wyggestons has been successfully providing sheltered housing and housing related care services for vulnerable older people at its site since the 1960s. The Charity is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide residential and respite care at their onsite Agnes House care home. The site boasts 58 care staff who provide a 24/7 service for health and pastoral care.

Wyggestons remains committed to providing comfort, care and wellbeing for its residents in a safe and secure environment through sheltered accommodation at William House and residential care are Agnes House. Their onsite chapel is always open and offers a tranquil setting for moments of quiet reflection. Wyggestons are proud to build on their past, while bringing the principles of care and hospitality into the modern day. This is why we were perfect partners during their latest renovation.

Why Renray?

Renray has been working with Wyggestons for several years and are their trusted interior solutions supplier. Wyggestons initially reached out to us as they desired a classic yet contemporary update to their communal facilities.

“We have worked with Renray for a number of years now and they are always on top of their game. Using their creative wizardry, Janine and the Renray team updated some tired interiors with beautifully bespoke, unique and modern furnishings. They have revitalized the whole building!”

We wanted to work together with Wyggestons to service their rich history as well as opening up their interiors to a new generation of residents, allowing for a full modernising refurbishment.

We were chosen because we could showcase a full turnkey solution to their requirements, preferring to deal with a single supplier rather than many. With our extensive ranges we could provide a full furniture and soft furnishing solution, that was modern with a classical twist.

“Renray devised brilliant space saving ideas, themes for communal rooms and the installation was excellent. Working through Janine to visualise designs really helped”

In particular, our furniture was seen as being of exceptional quality, adaptable, usable by anyone and most importantly – comfortable.

We pride ourselves on being able to cater for anyone and offer bespoke solutions for all our customers. Wyggestons were no exception. Due to communal areas with large open spaces and very light windows. They required curtains that would be practical in casting shade and due to their prominence act as a focal point to the room.

Following Wyggestons creative proposal of modern with historical touchpoints we worked with our fabric partners to create unique one-off curtains that combined the Wyggestons coat of arms with their historic connections with the Duchy of Lancaster.

“We are so happy with the results that Renray provided. Residents and visitors have been commenting on the exquisite and unique soft furnishings on a daily basis”

With our decades of experience, we were able to move things along quickly, rapidly building a positive relationship through our dedicated and resourceful Business Development Manager Janine.

All issues were quickly resolved, and the installation was done to the highest standards. We will be working closely with Wyggestons for any future developments, so stay tuned!

“We have been really pleased with the whole process, from working with Janine, to choosing furniture designs, to her professional approach in our homes, and the finished result which is more than we could ever wish for”
